This month ends not just with the promise of summer but with one of the most impactful releases we’ve made all year. Unlike previous editions of this update, where we looked back at what had already been delivered, this time we are sharing the news just as the new features are landing. It’s a rare moment of writing at the cusp of something going live—and this one has been worth the wait.
Direct Booking.com integration: Seamless, certified, and powerful
We’re proud to announce that Clock Hospitality Cloud is now a certified Booking.com integration partner, providing a direct connection that removes the need for a channel manager. With this, we join a very small group of global PMS vendors who can offer such a deep and reliable integration.
Why does this matter?
First, by skipping the channel manager as an intermediary it dramatically reduces the delay between updates in your system and their reflection on Booking.com—availability, restrictions, and rates are now synchronised almost instantly. That alone reduces the risk of overbookings and speeds up your ability to optimise revenue.
But there is more.
For hoteliers who prefer to collect payments themselves, one of the biggest pain points has been how to deal with invalid cards. If a guest’s card fails, your only options were to log into the Booking.com extranet and report it, or to reach out directly to the guest—a process that can create confusion and mistrust. Now, Clock automatically reports failed payments to Booking.com, who then trigger their own process to request a valid card from the guest through their trusted platform.
Likewise, if a guest doesn’t show up, Clock will now send the no-show notification automatically—ensuring you can waive the commission without needing to log in manually.
For those who rely on Booking.com to collect payments via virtual cards, the integration still works beautifully. But if you’ve been reluctant to give up on self-collection due to cost or control, this new integration helps you do that with less hassle and more confidence.
The integration is included in all Clock subscriptions, new and existing. The certification process was completed in early April, and after several weeks of live pilot testing, we are confident it is ready for wider rollout.
Events KPI Dashboard: Track what really matters
Our event management tools have come a long way, and we are adding a powerful new layer: the Events KPI Dashboard.
Requested by many of you, the dashboard introduces metrics such as Revenue Per Square Metre (or Foot), Revenue Per Attendee, and Revenue Per Event. These indicators allow you to go beyond counting events and start measuring their financial efficiency.
This is especially useful when comparing event performance across time periods, venues, or event types—helping you make smarter decisions about pricing, promotion, and space utilisation.
If you’re using our event management solution today, this will instantly elevate your reporting. And if you’re not yet using it, now’s a great time to explore what’s possible.
More enhancements, including discount codes
Alongside the headline features, we’ve also made numerous smaller improvements, most notably in the discount code engine. These include better control over applicability and targeting, helping you run more precise and effective campaigns.
One more thing: Greece, we’re ready
Few months ago, our long-time partner The Yellow Square told us they were expanding to Greece. Exciting.
Greece is one of the most complex markets in Europe in terms of fiscalisation, with a labyrinth of compliance rules and reporting via the MyData platform. From that day when Marco, their founder, CEO and a great friend of Clock, we knew we had just a few weeks to deliver a solution that would allow them to open on time meeting exactly those complex compliance requirements.
It wasn’t the coding that was the hardest part—it was understanding the rules. But thanks to the relentless work of our integration lead Nick Lazarov and our localisation expert Stoyan Nikolov, we made it.
Was our confidence shaken while we were cruising the lands of the unknown? It was. But tomorrow, our June update goes live with full support for Greek fiscalisation. On time. As promised. It’s one of those moments where relief meets pride. Promise kept.
Thank you for reading and for being part of our journey.
By the way - July Morning is tomorrow. Rock on 🤘🤘🤘
See you in July.
Until next month,
Krasimir
